The years that came after the 2nd Great War were marked by the confrontation of ideologies and radical changes all around the globe, the most radical of them was the Chinese Revolution. Then appeared a group that wasn't allied to neither US nor the Soviets. The fight for the freedom in the Asian, African, Middle Eastern and Latin American colonies influenced politics all around the world. All around the globe there were uprisings. The film portraits those that lived and studied this events.

Video Biography of Paulo Carneiro, Brazil's representative to UNESCO and participated in the formulation of policies and implementation of relief projects, as a member of the Executive Council of the Organization. He stands out for having articulated broadly and profitable projects that contemplated global demands with local interests in the areas of the UNESCO. Through the study of its history, one can understand a face in the history of the relations between science, politics and international relations in the twentieth century. (Institutional - 2003)

The Open Schools Programme is based on a culture of peace and nonviolence to promote the citizenship of adolescents, youngsters and the school community as a whole.
It is an initiative in which several areas of the UNESCO mandate come together - an action for social inclusion that stimulates improvements in schools, cultural participation, increased awareness in regard to STD and AIDS prevention and care for the environment
