“The Map of Healing” is an oral history multimedia mapping project, made in collaboration with local artists, activists and multimedia professionals.  The project is dedicated to provide a medium through which people who have experienced Police Brutalization can tell their stories and be heard. The project was originated as a result of Paula’s participation in the  grassroots group PACSHI - Police Accountability, Community Safety and Healing Initiative, led by the Beloved Community Center. The Maps of Healing is also incubated and supported by the Groundswell: Oral History for Social Change.  Following the recording of the interviews, an audio piece is created and made available on an online map, where anyone can click, listen to the stories and locate where those stories have taken place.
