SOUNDLAB PROJECT - Greensboro/NC - Sep/Oct
Elsewhere collaborate project with artist group INVISIBLE, Weaver High School, and Guilford College on SoundLAB, a mobile visual artwork and instrument composed of obsolete technology. SoundLAB will provide a collaborative space for students to explore the role technology plays in daily life through experiments in digital storytelling and performance. The project launches September 5 and will culminate with a performance at Weaver Fest on October 5th at 6pm in Festival Park, downtown Greensboro. UTOPIA AND BARBARISM

"Utopia and Barbarism" is a road movie that crossed the entire historic 15 countries: France, Italy, Spain, Canada, USA, Cuba, Vietnam, Israel, Palestine, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Venezuela and Brazil. In each of these places, Tendler documented the protagonists and witnesses of the history of the twentieth century.
In the paintings, the documentary moves through some of the most controversial episodes in recent history, as the bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Holocaust, the October Revolution, the year 1968 in the world (Brazil, France, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, among others), Operation Condor, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the explosion of liberalism more cannibal that history has ever known.

Vídeo da XI Caminhada Azoany realizada anualmente no dia 16 de agosto de 2009 por um grupo de pessoas ligadas ao Candomblé e a Igreja Católica, que decidiram partir do Pelourinho até a Igreja de São Lázaro, para comemorar o dia de São Lázaro e Azoany (Omolú Obaluaê), para reverenciar e cumprir promessas em agradecimento.
Video of the XI Azoany March held annually on August 16, 2009 by a group of people linked to Candomblé and the Catholic Church, who decided to march from the Pelourinho to the Church of St. Lazarus, to celebrate the feast of St. Lazarus and Azoany (Omolú Obaluaê ), to honor and fulfill promises in gratitude.
