THE NUCLEUS OF US ALL, 2017
photogram on gelatin silver paper
“Vast is That, and self-luminous, unthinkable form, and subtler than the atom. It shines forth farther than the far, and yet It is very near, for those who see, residing in the shrine of the heart of every being.”
The Nucleus of Us All is a series of photograms on gelatin silver paper that address consciousness as the images transcend the inherent indexicality of photography and matter itself. The photogram serves here as the medium through which I manipulated light in order to shape the forms of a dance of energies that are at the central point of Life creation and its ever changing appearance. Beyond the paradoxes of isolation and attraction, creation and dissolution, movement and stillness, solitude, encounter and separation, there is The Nucleus of Us all. From individual particles to complex structures, Life swings between unity to infinity.
We are one and we are all. Emotions surround and occupy spaces. Elements relate to each other and to themselves in various forms, differentiated beauties and voids of information. Nature takes care of voids, and we survive by a common force,
The Nucleus of Us All.
The Nucleus Of Us All, Untitled # 1 was selected to the Portal exhibition juried by Lori Vrba at The Southeastern Center for Photography - SCP. The work is now part of the SCP collection.
